Just below the Mayfair Marriot Hotel, unknown to most, is the hidden cocktail bar, the Luggage Room. The Nth Degree Club exclusively hosted a evening drinks event where delicious champagne cocktails were enjoyed by all.
The Nth Degree Club was honored to host a dining event at The Belgraves Hotel on Chesham Place, Belgravia last week. With a fabulous guest list of members and a the chic and stylish atmosphere of private dining room Room 101, the event was absolutely stunning.
Behind the menu was the youngest female executive chef in the UK; Sophie Michell. Sophie prepared a tailored menu designed around the tastes of Spring. Many thanks to Sophie and Kyle for creating such a spectacular evening.
A delicious lunch consisting of fine, wholesome Italian cuisine was enjoyed in the heart of Belgravia. The private room is located in the wine cellar of the restaurant and encapsulates the old world elegance of Italy with vaulted ceilings , exposed brick walls and a view of the spectacular wine cellar.
Last week The Nth Degree Club hosted an amazingly historic dining experience at 1 Lombard Street. Steeped in banking history, the famous City fine dining restaurant dates back to 1776 and sits right next to the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London. The Nth Degree Club took over the private dining room for a decadent dining experience complete with drinks reception and three course meal.
The dining experience began with a fabulously historical introduction to the Grade II listed venue by General Manager Soren Jessen. Soren is a former banker himself and opened the establishment back in 1998. He spoke so passionately about 1 Lombard Street and reminded us all of just how many huge business deals will have been made in the building.
1 Lombard Street specialises in classic and modern European food with international influences, with vegetarians wonderfully catered for too. Our specially selected Nth Degree menu was as follows
NTH DEGREE CLUB MENU
Beef carpaccio with winter truffle
Sautéed wild mushrooms & pine nuts
Pan fried peppered monkfish
Chorizo, lentils, crispy cabbage & red pepper sauce
Bitter chocolate marquise
Raspberry coulis & pistachio velouté
Coffee & petits fours
Each course was exquisite in it’s own way, and our members even commented on how wonderful the bread was. Infused with pepper and olive oil, it was clear that everything had been made from scratch, with the greatest of care. The flavoursome lentils complimented the monkfish perfectly and the dessert was a truly indulgent end to a fabulous meal.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Soren and his team for welcoming The Nth Degree Club and our members to 1 Lombard Street and for providing us with such a memorable dining experience.
It’s not every day one gets to step behind the doors of a residential penthouse apartment on London’s illustrious Park Lane. But this is exactly what we offered to our members for a very special dining experience on 30th January at the Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living.
The collection of 4 Penthouse Suites at Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living are often rented out by high profile families and are extremely sought after by foreign visitors during the summer months. The décor, furnishings and balcony views are exquisite and offer the ultimate luxury accommodation in London.
The event took place in the Mayfair Penthouse, the third largest of the collection. The Grosvenor House Apartments have 130 residences including the 4 Penthouse Suites.
With four bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge, dining room, 2 balconies, 3 bathrooms and a reception hall, the Mayfair Penthouse was more than large enough for our party of 14. We began with a champagne drinks reception in the lounge and our Nth Degree members took themselves for a little snoop around the whole penthouse apartment. Our wonderful waiting staff used the kitchen as a base to serve the drinks.
Dinner began with a run through of the menu from the extremely charming resident Head Chef Shailesh Deshmukh. The menu included a trio of seafood for starters, seabass with gnocchi, cherry tomatoes and greens and a melt-in-the-mouth chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. The food, service and ambience was absolutely superb and everyone around the table was truly blown away by the diversity of the whole experience.
We’d like to give a huge thank you to the whole team at Grosvenor House Apartments for making the experience so wonderful and for giving us access to the amazing Mayfair Suite.
On the 28th January, The Nth Degree Club joined forces with one of our much loved members Tony Giallonardo, founder of luxury menswear brand OTTO Uomo. We hosted an in-store event with Tony at his sumptuous Mayfair showroom and combined our contact lists to bring a mix of interesting, high profile and ever-so stylish individuals.
Tony was present throughout the whole evening and made sure he met each and every one of his guests.
For another Nth Degree twist, the canapés were supplied Nth Degree member, Riccardo Mariti of Riccardo’s Italian Restaurant (based on Fulham Road). Riccardo, with the support of his head chef and 2 waiting staff, took over the OTTO kitchen to produce the most exquisite selection of canapés for the evening. The hot and cold canapés showcased his menu perfectly and certainly went down well with all of the guests.
The beautiful Mayfair showroom is located at 66 Grosvenor Street and is one of the most decadent retail venues in London. With period features, chandeliers and high celings, the showroom is the perfect environment to display the beautiful OTTO clothing lines. Appointments are available but the store and is open for drop-in business.
A huge thanks to all Nth Degree Members and OTTO clients who attended on the evening, and of course to Riccardo for putting on such a delicious selection of canapes for the evening.
